General Qualifications: High school senior never enrolled in college unless for dual credit, U.S. citizen prior to scholarship activation, 17 years of age or older, good moral integrity, and physically and medically qualified. Air Force ROTC scholarships cover tuition, an annual allowance for textbooks, most lab fees and up to $500 spending cash per academic month. High school seniors can apply online at www.afrotc.com.
Eligibility is based on a measure of your academic performance based on a combination of SAT and/or ACT scores (no mixing allowed), class rank, GPA, and the number of advanced placement or honors courses completed through grade 11. Normally, to be eligible for scholarship consideration, students must achieve an SAT composite of 1100 (math and verbal only) or ACT composite of 24, attain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have a class ranking in the top 40%.
Use AFROTC Code 0548 to send results directly to AFROTC *Please note that the student's senior year grades are not used in compiling the cumulative GPA for scholarship consideration.
To activate a scholarship, students must be accepted to a college that offers AFROTC OR a college that has a "cross-town agreement" with a school that offers AFROTC.
