Intel Science Talent Search is America's oldest and most highly regarded science contest for high school seniors. To be eligible students must submit an individual research project and supporting forms and documentation. From the 300 Semifinalists, 40 Finalists will be chosen to attend the Science Talent Institute in Washington, D.C., where students exhibit their research at the National Academy of Sciences and compete for the top prize of a $100,000 four-year scholarship. Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the culminating event in a series of local, regional, state and country science fairs. Students in grades 9 through 12 must compete at an Intel ISEF-affiliated regional or state fair to advance and parti- cipate at the Intel ISEF. Both individual and team projects are eligible for competition. Students compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips and the grand prize: a $50,000 college scholarship.
