Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan Overview
Formerly known as the Texas Tomorrow Fund, this fund was administered by the Texas Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board and gave individuals the chance to lock in the price of tomorrow’s college tuition and required fees at Texas colleges and universities at today’s rates.
At this time, the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan is closed to new enrollment.
The Comptroller’s Office has, however, introduced a new prepaid plan, the Texas Tuition Promise Fund, which opened for enrollment in September 2008.
Can I add more years to the plan I purchased?
No. The Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan is currently closed to new enrollment. Plan conversions, which include the addition of years to a contract, can only occur during an enrollment period because new contract prices are used in the calculation. Downgrades to a plan, however, such as reducing the number of years purchased, can occur at any time.
