To be considered for standby testing, please be present at the test center on test day before 7:45 a.m. Bring a completed Registration Form, sealed in its envelope, along with payment by check, money order, or credit card. Checks and money orders should be made payable to "The College Board". You will also be charged a $36.50 standby fee in addition to the regular fee for the test or tests you wish to take.
Exception: Students taking Language Tests with Listening cannot test as standbys.
A new SAT® online score report is now available free to every student who takes the SAT®. All you need is a collegeboard.com account. You will still receive your SAT® score report in the mail.
ACT Assessment Test
There are some institutions in Texas which award academic credit and advanced placement based on a student's performance on the ACT Assessment.
Both advanced placement and academic credit may be awarded to students based on their scores on three of the four ACT Assessment curricular areas: English, Mathematics, or Science. This is the same examination utilized in the admissions process. Depending upon the college or university, requirements of minimum scores, number of credit hours granted and other conditions may vary.
